There is an opportunity for an Shopper Insights Manager to support the North American Insights team located in Parsippany, NJ.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Shopper Insights, you will execute all shopper insights research platform work and account-specific work, owning shopper research from inception through action.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create best in class category/shopper insights analyses incorporating data from all resources ? shopper insights studies, virtual shelf tests, household panel data, trend data, account specific data
  • Form close collaborations with and serve as key point of contact on all shopper insights research for Marketing and Sales colleagues
  • Disseminate information and insights throughout the organization leveraging various tools:

?- Consult with other Insights Managers in distilling category/brand insights
?- Develop and evolve Shopper Insights for category RIBs (Research Insights Books)
?- Collaborate with Retail Category Solutions and Shopper Marketing teams to develop best-in-class templates for leveraging at account level
?- Train Retail Category and Sales managers to segment insights data down to account-specific level for account presentations

  • Lead cross-functional, action oriented presentations
  • Understand accounts? strategies, business challenges, data sources, insights and cycle back into Shopper Insights process
  • Prioritize GSK?s shopper insights requirements and closely manage day-to-day relationships with suppliers
  • Attend/present at account calls, develop relationships with Insights managers at key retailers
  • Drive objectivity and insight-based solutions into the operating culture.
  • Embed shopper insights within the organization so that they are top-of-mind for business decision-making
  • Feed US shopper insights to global category teams as necessary and share best practices/presentations with other GSK Insights Managers

QUALIFICATIONS:

A successful candidate must possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years custom consumer/shopper research experience required: role will own execution of designated category and account-specific research responsibilities
  • Analytical Skills required: role will own data tab analyses, need understanding of syndicated analyses (e.g. consumption and house-hold panel) and other account-specific data
  • Previous experience with a mix of qualitative and quantitative shopper insights research
  • Ability/willingness to travel required (if estimate required, would say 10-20% of time)

Additionally, we prefer candidates that possess:

  • MBA
  • Previous experience on a CPG / FMCG Shopper Insights team
